Our Building Services team's mission is to play a key role in making buildings more energy efficient, sustainable, cost effective and safe to build and operate. As part of the development of its APAC business, and overall global growth, Cundall are excited to announce that we are entering into the Malaysian market in Kuala Lumpur. Cundall have been working on various projects in Malaysia from our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia so this is the natural progression for the business, building on long standing relationships and offering the same high standard of multidisciplinary design and consultancy services.
Our Malaysia office will enhance our regional presence in Asia, taking on exciting projects locally while also collaborating closely with our regional offices to provide seamless support.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Mechanical Engineering Technical expert to join our Pioneer team in Malaysia.
As part of the Senior Team and under our Partner/Director, the Associate/Associate Director will take responsibility for the operational delivery of projects, the management of project teams, the management of client relationships and the line management of teams as well as to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative design solutions for some of the exciting building projects in the region.
Working across a variety of sectors such as Data Centres, Hotel and Hospitality, Commercial and Retail, you will manage and control financial aspects of projects and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.
You will be an expert in Mechanical Engineering Design and generally knowledgeable across the Built Environment Sector. You will alsobe part of a global skills community for sharing knowledge, projects and your specific expertise.
You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and lead our group of multi-disciplinary engineers.
The Skills
A Chartered/Professional Engineer, educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, you have gained vast experience within a building services context. Ideally you will have vast experience in a data centre field. Having achieved the Board of Engineers Malaysia's Practicing certificate will be a plus.
You also possess a strong understanding of low energy design and have proven your technical expertise in the relevant design software.
In your most recent position, you would have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams to deliver to, and exceed client expectations, and crucially you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential. Regional or international experience would be an added advantage.
