What you can expect

We are seeking a Junior Buyer (m/f/d) to support the local Head of Procurement in UK with sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of materials and services for solar EPC projects. This role ensures timely supply, cost efficiency, and compliance with procurement standards. It is well-suited for graduates or early-career professionals looking to develop in procurement within the renewable energy sector.

Tasks

Source suppliers and request/evaluate quotations.
Create purchase orders with accurate pricing and terms.
Track deliveries and follow up with suppliers to prevent delays.
Maintain procurement data in AP+ (ERP), eGecko, and PowerBI.
Support project teams with material forecasting.
Resolve delivery issues, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
Keep supplier records up to date.
Assist with pricing standardisation and cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure procurement follows company processes and sustainability standards.

Profile

Graduate or 1-2 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or a junior buyer role.
Basic understanding of the end-to-end procurement cycle.
Ability to source and evaluate suppliers.
Awareness of construction or solar industry materials.
Commercial awareness (cost control, budget limits, price comparisons, impact on margins).
Familiarity with procurement modules in ERP systems
Comfortable with Excel.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with site teams, project managers, suppliers, and Accounts Payable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple RFQs and priorities
Basic negotiation confidence and proactive problem-solving.
Fluent in English.
