Job Description
AFRY Chemical & Biorefining Sweden is seeking a Technology Manager for e/Bio-fuels & Refining processes to join our Power-to-X team. We are looking for a professional with solid experience in E-fuel production, Bio-fuel production, and Green Hydrogen technologies. Significant experience from (bio)refinery processes is meritorious.
As Technology Manager, you will be part of a structured and collaborative engineering team, working closely with AFRY's global network. Our mission is to serve diverse industries with a strong focus on renewable fuels and decarbonization.
The Power-to-X group operates across sectors such as
- E-fuels (e.g., e/Bio-SAF, methanol, SNG, HVO, hydrogen);
- E-ammonia;
- Green steel;
- Gas infrastructure;
- Renewable electricity generation;
- Logistics.
AFRY has played a key role in driving the growth of these industries in the Nordics and globally. In this position, you will contribute significantly to further developing this sector.
The key responsibilities of the role are
- Drive the strategic development of AFRY's Power-to-X service portfolio, with a focus on e/Bio-fuels;
- Lead process teams during project execution and support project management;
- Contribute to sales, marketing, and business development activities. This may include participation and representation of AFRY at international conferences and to publish articles within the field;
- Collaborate with an international team of AFRY experts to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role we believe that you recognize yourself in this description:
- Senior Process Engineer, >10 years project experience;
- Previous background in chemicals engineering or energy sectors;
- Hands-on experience of technologies within gas-to-liquid, biorefining, refining, reforming and electrolyzers;
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the key suppliers (OEMs) of technology and plant design;
- Good understanding of the global e-fuel market;
- Project experience in conceptual, basic and detailed engineering within relevant sectors;
- Ability to develop new solutions and approaches in a client-oriented manner;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or within a relevant field of technology;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English language;
- Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.
