Job Description
The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role involves managing production lines, implementing process improvements, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Assist Production Manager in developing colleagues, writing SOPs, and improving operations.
Responsibilities
- Production Management
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor production lines and adjust schedules and workflows to meet production targets.
- Ensure that production processes are operating within established quality and safety standards.
- Ensure meeting daily KPI.
- Responsible for the overall shop floor according to area/section assigned.
- Ensure all assigned production employees undergo required training and perform their job accordingly.
- Ensure to report daily achievement and issue to management
- Responsible for shop floor stock accuracy.
- Process Optimization
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Quality Assurance
- Monitor and maintain product quality through regular inspections and testing.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards.
- Equipment and Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Work with maintenance teams to schedule regular maintenance and address equipment issues.
