Job Description
We offer an excellent project engineering opportunity focused on the development and project delivery of dispatchable power solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in power generation and project execution and will be actively involved in all phases-from conceptual design and due diligence to project management and construction. Experience with technologies such as CHP, battery storage or power-to-heat technologies are a plus.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Support complex business development activities from a technical perspective, covering acquisition or inhouse development/upgrades of flexible power projects;
- Develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans covering: project design, permitting, scheduling and stakeholder management (e.g. construction or delivery partners);
- Oversee all phases of project delivery and report on key milestones;
- Ownership of project budget, timeline and critical path to ensure "on-time, on-budget" project delivery;
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of the integrated strategic vision of the Flexibility Assets Division of MET Group.
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Electrical, Energy, or Mechanical Engineering;
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in power sector project management,
- Solid understanding of system-level energy solutions;
- Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement;
- Fluent in English and German;
- Proficient at MS Excel, Word and specific project management tools;
- Analytical thinking, accuracy, reliability;
- Proactivity and ability to work independently;
- Focus on detail, with the capability to summarize key information for C-suite/Board-level reporting.
