As HSE Manager for the MEA region, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our Energy Storage projects. Job Purpose

Lead and manage Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities across the Middle East, Asia, Australia (MEA) region, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving continuous improvement within the Energy Storage business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and operational HSE initiatives within agreed timelines across MEA Operations.
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review HSE management plans and documentation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify risks and hazards, report findings, and lead corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety, environmental, and social standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Investigate HSE incidents and prepare detailed incident reports.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and organise periodic drills.
  • Identify and communicate training needs to meet regulatory and client HSE requirements.
  • Participate in contractor and stakeholder meetings as part of the HSE qualification process.
  • Analyse and present EHS data to identify trends, improvement areas, and best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Support security, sustainability, and ESG programmes relevant to the Energy Storage business in MEA.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in HSE management and ISO auditing within MEA and other international regions.
  • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Strong knowledge of regional HSE regulations and IFC Performance Standards.
  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
  • Training in ICAM, TapRoot, or Reality Charting RCA investigation methods.
  • Valid Construction Safety Certification and proven experience in construction HSE management.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Excellent English communication, computer literacy, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and build strong relationships with teams and contractors.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience in HSE management for Energy Storage Systems is an advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30%) with no history of visa rejection.
