Job Description

Are you an experienced and strategic service operations leader with a passion for people, safety, and scalable offshore delivery? If so, we want to hear from you.

In your new position as Director, Operational Support in the Renewables Service division, you will be a key member of the global Service leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Service. Your mission is to enable safe, predictable, and profitable service execution by ensuring that the right people, skills, and systems are in place across our global service organisation.

At Semco Maritime, safety is a core value, and in this role you will actively contribute to maintaining and strengthening a strong safety culture while professionalising workforce planning, offshore coordination, and operational support. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.

Your place of work will be Germany or Denmark, with close interaction with offshore personnel, partners, and local stakeholders. The position is full-time, and you can expect regular travel as part of a global leadership role.

Your tasks & responsibilities

You will be responsible for establishing and leading a global, scalable framework for workforce planning, competence development, and offshore operational support.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the primary interface between Service leadership, project teams, and operational support functions to ensure delivery readiness
  • Establishing and developing one integrated global workforce across Service, combining internal and external resources
  • Translating service growth ambitions and contract pipeline into forward-looking workforce and competence plans
  • Leading offshore coordination across global service projects, including rotations, logistics, certifications, and compliance
  • Professionalising planning tools, data, systems, and standards while supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental requirements in all activities

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a strategic and collaborative leader who is passionate about people, operations, and enabling safe offshore service delivery at scale. You take a structured, analytical approach to your work and thrive in a cross-functional, international environment.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • Extensive experience with workforce planning, service operations, or service delivery within offshore or renewable energy
  • Proven leadership experience in a global or multi-project service organisation
  • Relevant education in Engineering, Offshore/Maritime Technology, Renewable Energy, Industrial Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Fluency in English, with strong proficiency in German and/or Danish considered a clear advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a systems-oriented mindset, with solid knowledge of safety and compliance requirements
