As a Electrical & Automation Engineer at DEME, you'll operate both broadly and deeply: involved in multidisciplinary designs while diving into specialized technical topics. You'll work closely with internal teams across the business, ensuring seamless integration of systems and equipment used in our own fleet of vessels. Expect a high-paced, high-pressure environment where your engineering expertise will be crucial during concept & basic design phase of newbuild and conversion projects. This is not a management role - it's a hands-on technical position focused on delivering high-quality, compliant and innovative engineering solutions for complex projects.
- Design and develop ships, hull structures, onboard systems and mission equipment - the electrical & automation part as your focus.

- Support the procurement process by validating compatibility with system designs.
- Introduce innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions to improve vessel performance.
- Oversee system integration, from design to commissioning, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Work closely with design offices, production teams and testing facilities to validate concepts.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, risk assessments and design reports.
- We don't expect candidates to tick every single box from day one - if you bring a strong engineering foundation and the right mindset, we'll support you in growing and broadening your skill set.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- Strong technical background and analytical skills.
- A minimum of 3 years hands-on working experience in performing complex and multidisciplinary engineering scopes and system integration.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
- Excellent communicator and team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Accountable, action-driven, and committed to technical excellence.
- Willing to travel occasionally for site support and commissioning phases.
Our Offer
- A dynamic, technically challenging role in a key engineering team shaping DEME's future assets.
- A collaborative and supportive environment with internal experts across disciplines.
- The opportunity to work on innovative, large-scale marine and offshore projects.
- Career development in a global company that values initiative and expertise.
- A competitive compensation package with benefits tailored to your needs.
