Are you an experienced and self-driven Project Buyer ready to start a new chapter? Do you want to write history and take part in the green energy transition? Here is a unique opportunity for you!

In your new position as Project Buyer in the Rig and Marine Division, you will be handling day-to-day purchasing in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers. You will be a valuable member of the dedicated procurement team whose mission is to deliver project procurement and strategic support to large Rig and Marine projects worldwide.

You will have a key role in ensuring project success through implementing efficient procurement practices. Not only will this role be a unique chance for you to develop your purchasing skills in a large-scale project environment, but your work will also make a meaningful impact towards meeting the world's increasing energy demand.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Project Buyer, your key responsibility is to provide procurement support through effective communication and coordination with stakeholders both internally and externally. Close collaboration with Finance, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement in UK, US and NO.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Requisitions from Project, Purchase order, follow up and confirmation.
  • Documenting all communications between Semco Maritime, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders in a methodical and well-organized manner.
  • Expediting/follow up on orders and ensuring that invoices are accurately matched prior to payment.
  • Proactively identifying and managing any supply risks that may arise from the supply chain.
  • Ensuring that the procurement process adheres to proper document templates.
  • Receiving, registering, storing, and distributing all procurement-related documents and correspondence in the appropriate systems.
  • Ensure correct Master data in ERP system.

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a self-motivated buyer with a high drive and the ability to work in a fast-paced project organisation. You possess a profound service-mindset and thrive in an environment where you have daily communication with many stakeholders.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • A relevant educational background
  • Min. 2 years' experience with operational buying - preferable in project business.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility & willingness to support.
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written.
  • Fluency in Danish is an advantage.
  • ERP systems knowledge - IFS preferably.
