Job Description

GOLDBECK SOLAR is a leading provider of turnkey solar systems on commercial roofs and ground mounted utility scale PV power plants. With our team of dedicated employees, we develop, plan, build, operate and finance photovoltaic systems in Germany, Europe and worldwide - tailor-made with a standardized approach.

What you can expect

As a CAD Design Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the technical planning and design of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects. You will work closely with sales, project management, and site teams to develop high-quality engineering solutions. The role requires a high level of independence, technical understanding, and strong communication skills.

Tasks

  • Preparation of planning and design documents for PV projects
  • Creation of topographic layouts, water management plans, module layouts, string plans, and substructure plans
  • Preparation of construction details such as overall layouts, earthwork plans, earthing plans, and foundation plans
  • Design and visualisation of PV systems using AutoCAD (Civil 3D), PVcase, and PVSyst
  • Creation of bills of quantities
  • Planning and parameterisation of PV systems on AC and DC side
  • Optimisation of technical components according to project and supplier requirements
  • Mechanical planning of substructures considering statics, stability, wind, snow, corrosion, and site conditions
  • Coordination with sales, purchasing, project management, and site teams
  • Commissioning and coordination of subcontractors for specific planning tasks
  • Continuous familiarisation with new tools and technologies

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience
  • Good understanding of PV system planning on the AC and DC side
  • Very good command of English
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of PVSyst and PVcase
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel (driving licence is an advantage)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Good personal and social skills
