Job Description
Ulteig seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to establish and lead our enterprise Digital Delivery program. As the Digital Delivery Manager, you will set standards, workflows, infrastructure, and governance for project delivery within the Civil Transportation Department. You will work closely with engineering, IT, and the Transportation BIM Manager to turn strategic priorities into actionable plans. Your efforts will ensure Ulteig meets evolving DOT expectations, aligns with national digital delivery initiatives, supports Bentley's connected data ecosystem, and partners effectively with DOTs and contractors to deliver projects through model-based workflows.
In this role, you will shape and carry out Ulteig's Digital Delivery strategy. This includes adopting new technology, managing data, setting up model governance, and building quality assurance processes, all within ProjectWise and Bentley Infrastructure Cloud (BIC). As the ProjectWise Administrator for Transportation, you will manage system setup, solve complex problems, guide changes to workspaces and workflows, and keep the project environment running smoothly. You will also create training plans, help teams meet client digital delivery needs, and reduce manual work through automation and integration.

Software
- Oversee configuration, maintenance, and optimization of ProjectWise and Bentley Infrastructure Cloud (BIC) connected data environments (CDEs).
- Manage integrations between BIC/ProjectWise and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), GIS, scheduling, and analytics platforms.
- Contribute to testing and deployment of updates and enhancements.
- Lead system audits and ensure standardized processes for document management and version control.
- Conduct routine ProjectWise administration, including user and group management, work areas, workflows, and deliverables, as well as troubleshooting and user support.
- Support the creation, management, and federation of iModels within BIC. Assist in utilizing iTwin services for validation, versioning, visualization, and digital twin workflows.
- Implement automation scripts and workflows (PowerShell, Python, Power Automate) to streamline provisioning, metadata management, and deliverable validation across BIC and ProjectWise.
- Maintain working knowledge of MicroStation, OpenRoads, and OpenBridge to assess downstream data requirements and support integration into BIC and ProjectWise.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, file locking, rendition, and metadata issues. Coordinate escalations with ProjectWise administrators and IT personnel.
- Develop Power BI dashboards to monitor adoption, usage, and compliance metrics.
- Remain current with best practices, new releases, and emerging technologies within the Bentley and Microsoft ecosystems.
Standards
- Collaborate with Civil Transportation teams to create and carry out a Digital Delivery Strategy. This includes adopting new technology, organizing staff training, and Quality Control.
- Develop data management strategy for Civil Transportation projects.
- Create, maintain, and improve Digital Delivery standards and configuration templates, including file structures, naming conventions, attributes, workflows, states, and renditions for BIC. Collaborate with other ProjectWise Managers to develop and refine ProjectWise standards.
- Ensure that all project configurations and deliverables comply with state Department of Transportation (DOT) and national digital delivery requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and best practices to support system users.
- Support version control and change management processes by publishing release notes, conducting impact assessments, and maintaining audit-ready records.
- Participate in QA/QC reviews to verify model and document compliance, as well as metadata completeness, before milestone submissions.
Training
- Develop and implement training plans, onboarding programs, and ongoing support initiatives for ProjectWise and BIC users.
- Produce comprehensive step-by-step guides, instructional videos, and quick-reference materials for users.
- Conduct live training sessions and webinars, and facilitate onboarding for new hires regarding BIC and ProjectWise workflows as well as Department of Transportation (DOT) expectations.
- Offer individualized user support, reinforce best practices, and address help-desk tickets related to digital delivery tools.
- Monitor training participation, collect feedback to enhance content, and assist in maintaining a centralized training library that incorporates the latest standards and software updates.
Project Interface
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Transportation, Field Services, Quality, and IT, as well as external partners to facilitate adoption and address challenges.
- Support project teams during kickoffs to ensure accurate creation of the Common Data Environment (CDE), proper metadata configuration, and correct template implementation.
- Validate deliverables against contract and DOT requirements before key milestones (30/60/90/IFC).
- Deliver daily support for issues related to Bentley Information Center (BIC) and ProjectWise workflows, coordinating with ProjectWise Administrators, IT, clients, and partners to resolve access and collaboration challenges.
- Prepare and present status reports, KPIs, and compliance metrics to organizational leadership and project managers.
- Oversee project closeout activities, ensuring proper archiving and records retention in compliance with established standards.
- Assist the Transportation BIM Manager in coordinating digital delivery requirements and monitoring compliance on DOT projects.
