Key Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and optimise Solar PV systems in line with site constraints, client objectives, and applicable standards.
  • Lead technical input for project feasibility, system sizing, layout development, and yield/performance assumptions.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation.
  • Own defined project workstreams and support PMs with technical risk management, scheduling input, and design reviews.
  • Support procurement with technical specs and BoMs for panels, inverters, cabling, mounting systems, and protection equipment.
  • Conduct site assessments / surveys, verifying installation requirements.
  • Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, and close-out to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Liaise directly with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries and maintain clear communication through delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Ideally 2+ years' relevant experience in solar PV, electrical design, renewables, or other building services engineering (commercial experience a strong advantage).
  • Must have current legal authorisation to work in Ireland (valid work visa / EU/EEA passport). Sponsorship is not available.
  • Strong technical reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple live tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
