Job Description

Lead the design, deployment, and scaling of MES and digital industrial automation solutions across global manufacturing sites. You will own the implementation and integration of the Production Execution System with shopfloor equipment, enterprise systems, and automation technologies-ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable digital manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate closely with Production, IT, Quality, and Engineering teams across global sites to drive real-time visibility, data integrity, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

MES Implementation & Deployment

  • Lead configuration, customization, and deployment of MES solutions across manufacturing lines and global sites
  • Support workflow design, data modelling, and system validation aligned with production requirements

Shopfloor Integration & Connectivity

  • Ensure seamless integration of MES with tightening tools, PLCs, sensors, robotics, and other shopfloor equipment
  • Use industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, REST APIs and enable real-time data acquisition

Enterprise System Integration

  • Integrate MES solutions with ERP (D365), PLM, and quality systems to ensure synchronized production data and full traceability

Architecture & Scalability

  • Support development and scaling of modular, microservice-based MES architecture
  • Enable Edge deployment, cloud integration, and secure data exchange

Production Data Integrity & Performance Optimization

  • Ensure system stability, data accuracy, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting across deployed sites

Global Rollout & Support

  • Support multi-site MES rollout activities
  • Provide technical guidance to local teams and standardize digital execution practices across sites

Our Requirements (must-have)

  • Strong experience implementing MES in manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on industrial integration experience: MQTT, OPC-UA, REST APIs, real-time data acquisition
  • Understanding of ISA-95 architecture and manufacturing system layering (OT/IT integration)
  • Experience with SQL databases, data modelling, and backend logic configuration
  • Ability to troubleshoot integration issues across hardware and software layers
  • Understanding of tightening tools, PLC interfaces, sensors, and automation stack integration
  • Exposure to global manufacturing environments

Nice to have

  • Exposure to cloud/container environments (e.g., Kubernetes, AKS) and Edge deployments
  • Experience with Node-RED based systems or low-code industrial platforms
  • Experience in tightening data capture, traceability systems, and quality data integration
