Job Description

We are looking for an proactive Automation Engineer with strong SCADA competencies to support the development, configuration, and integration of SCADA solutions for global windenergy applications. The role blends automation, industrial communication, and IT/OT integration, supporting secure and reliable operation of SCADA products across our production and customer projects.

This position requires solid expertise in networking and SCADA systems to ensure secure, reliable connectivity and seamless integration between industrial control systems and IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Install and deploy SCADA software packages on designated hardware (IPCs, servers).
  • Configure system parameters, communication protocols, and security settings.
  • Ensure stable connectivity to Vestas or KK-managed networks during configuration.
  • Manage access to repositories, folders, and administrated PCs for preconfiguration tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configuration steps and system readiness checks.
  • Support factory and site preparation activities, including connectivity verification and troubleshooting of automation interfaces.
  • Participate in production support activities such as software upload manuals, version tracking, trainings and testing of new releases
  • Cooperate with crossfunctional engineering teams to resolve integration issues and support continuous improvement of SCADA workflows.

Our requirements

  • Strong Networking Knowledge: VLAN/VRF, ACLs, firewalls, routing protocols.
  • SCADA Protocols: Modbus, OPC UA, TCP/IP.
  • Virtualization Platforms: VMware, Azure environments.
  • Experience with Cisco and HPE network hardware.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and respond to system failures.
  • Possibility to travel to Denmark for week trips.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in networking or SCADA environments.
  • Engineering degree in Automation, Electronics, Electrical, IT or related technical field.
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for industrial environments.
  • Nice to have experience in energy, wind, or large‑scale industrial automation projects.
