Your mission
Site & Customer Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs and contractors.
- Participate in site visits, surveys, and customer meetings.
- Conduct or assist with on-site technical testing (e.g., geotechnical and mechanical tests).
- Provide installation training, demonstrations, and commissioning support.
- Perform installation QA/QC inspections and assist with project handovers.
- Deliver on-site and remote aftersales, warranty, and O&M support.
- Manage Health & Safety documentation for site activities.
- Identify recurring site issues and contribute to product and process improvements.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with quality, HSE, and contractual requirements.
Operations & Supply Chain Support
- Perform incoming QA/QC inspections on fabricated parts and products.
- Support in-house fabrication, assembly, and technical demonstrations.
- Develop tools and process improvements for fabrication, warehousing, and testing.
- Provide technical and administrative support to warehouse, sales, and supply chain teams.
- Assist in standardising service, commissioning, and aftersales documentation.
Process & System Development
- Establish and improve service and aftersales processes and workflows.
- Support ERP and reporting system implementation for service activities.
- Align local service practices with global standards.
- Assist with service contract administration, scope reviews, variations, and warranty compliance.
Your profile
- Matric (Grade 12) with strong numeracy and computer literacy.
- Technical qualification (Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing or construction, ideally in a technical/engineering environment.
- Solar PV project lifecycle experience advantageous.
- Experience managing subcontractors and service/construction contracts.
- Proficient with hand tools, measuring instruments, MS Office, and CAD (ERP exposure advantageous).
- Valid driver's licence and passport.
- Health & Safety certifications advantageous (e.g., First Aid, HIRA, SHE Rep, SAMTRAC).
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Detail-oriented with high quality and safety standards.
- Team player, culturally adaptable, and willing to travel extensively.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
