Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Recognize the different project steps within Canadian Solar Process to source new Direct and Indirect Materials and Services
  • Recognize the different standards requested by Quality, Production and Engineering systems within Canadian solar to ensure product will meet all standards.

Products

  • Understand and Develop Best scope of work to be fulfilled by Service provider and suppliers.
  • Be able to recognize product limitation in a given market and understand critical parts of a given product to identify capable vendors
  • Understanding Market situation for a given product (cost and manufacturing capacity)
  • Sourcing Strategy
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality and / or delivery schedules.
  • Understand supplier capacities and competitive advantages.

Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly and provide Root analysis with plans to resolve in short term and prevent in long term
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, costs, and delivery.

Procurement

  • Oversee the procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
  • Run Internal approval process for full transparency
