Job Description

Deutsche Windtechnik is the world's No. 1 independent operations and maintenance service provider for on- & offshore wind farms, executing maintenance, repairs and inspections on all assets of a wind farm. We operate worldwide in 10 countries with over 2,100 employees in total and since 2018 our first Asian entity and APAC hub in Taiwan started. We want to be a major part of Taiwan's renewable energy journey and we need you in our growing team.

Due to our numerous projects in Taiwan, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer (Electrical) in the Technical support department for our Taiwanese DWT entity.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, or other similar electrical background
  • Electrical specialist with experience in power engineering (protection systems, grid operations, substations, High voltage system)
  • Familiar with local standards, norms, and guidelines for electrical operating facilities
  • At least 3-5 years working experience, ideally in the wind energy or maritime sector
  • Independent, structured, and results-oriented work style
  • Willingness to travel, ability to work at heights, and physical fitness for offshore/ onshore site validations (Time/days not definable. Mainly at the start of new projects/ tasks)
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin skills
  • Initial experience with technical drawing programs
  • Confident use of common Microsoft Office programs
  • TW car driving license
  • Local Taiwanese candidate is preferable
  • Valid GWO BST, preferable
  • Valid OEUk, preferable

Your Tasks

  • Preparing technical documentation: Risk assessments, method statements, work instructions, checklists, technical drawings, maintenance plans out of O&M handed over by client including the validation afterwards on site
  • Providing technical support to our service teams during the repair/maintenance of substations and wind turbines
  • Analyzing the causes of malfunctions and developing technical solutions to prevent them from recurring
  • Supporting the creation of service proposals for repair and maintenance contracts
  • Acting as a technical point of contact for customers and contractual partners
  • Support sales and project team for tendering technical advice as required
  • Ensure technical documents or technical guidance provided are complying to local regulation
