We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Director to drive revenue growth and strategic partnerships across North and Latin America. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for acquiring new enterprise clients, deepening relationships with existing accounts, and shaping Clobotics' market leadership in the renewable energy technology space.
This role blends technical insight, commercial acumen, and relationship-building skills. You will own the full sales cycle-from market strategy and prospecting to deal closure and post-sale collaboration-ensuring our customers achieve exceptional value from Clobotics' innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and exceed regional sales targets by acquiring new strategic accounts and expanding revenue within existing client portfolios.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the Americas, targeting key stakeholders across wind farm operators, IPPs, asset managers, and O&M service providers.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite, technical, procurement, and operational leaders.
- Lead the full sales process, including needs discovery, solution design, proposal development, contract negotiation, and customer onboarding.
- Conduct consultative sales engagements, educating prospects on Clobotics' technology and its impact on operational efficiency, safety, and ROI.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored demos, proposals, and implementation plans.
- Represent Clobotics at industry conferences, trade shows, and executive briefings to elevate brand visibility and pipeline development.
- Provide voice-of-customer feedback to inform product development and service enhancements.
- Travel internationally to meet clients onsite, strengthen partnerships, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in renewable energy, wind sector services, industrial IoT, drone technology, or enterprise software/SaaS.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex, high-value solution sales environments.
- Established network and credibility within the wind energy industry across North America and/or Latin America.
- Strong ability to translate technical capabilities into business value for operational, financial, and technical buyers.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic, analytical, and structured in approach-able to navigate long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder decisions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to a fast-paced technology-driven environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus.
- Basic understanding of computer vision, drone-based inspection, or predictive maintenance technology is highly desirable.
