What They Do

Eku Energy is a global battery storage business launched in November 2022, specializing in the development, construction, and management of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the full project lifecycle (source: energystorageeurope.eu). The company focuses exclusively on battery storage infrastructure rather than generation technologies like solar or wind, positioning BESS as critical assets that support grid stability, provide essential grid services, and enable the integration of variable renewable energy sources into electricity systems (source: ekuenergy.com). Eku Energy operates globally with a footprint spanning the UK, Australia, Japan, Germany, Italy, and New Zealand, targeting utility and grid-scale electricity markets, system operators, governments, and power-market stakeholders requiring flexible storage capacity and grid support (source: energystorageeurope.eu). The company’s business model encompasses end-to-end project delivery, including development, construction, ownership, operation, and long-term asset management, creating world-class infrastructure investment products through its expertise in BESS technology (source: ekuenergy.com).
