Job Description
At ORE Catapult, we're shaping the UK's clean energy future. As the leading research and innovation centre for offshore wind, wave, and tidal energy, we're pioneering technologies that help power a sustainable world. Now, you can get a behind-the-scenes look at how engineers turn ideas into real-world solutions.
Position
We offer one week of work experience for Year 10 to Year 13 students (ages 14-18) who are curious about engineering, science, and sustainability. You'll explore cutting-edge renewable energy technology, see how engineers tackle real-world challenges, and discover what a career in STEM could look like. Placements take place on ORE Catapult's main site in Blyth, and students from all backgrounds are welcome, working alongside colleagues to provide the best experience possible.

We offer 4 or 5-week T-Level Placements for students enrolled in a T-Level qualification who have an interest in engineering, science, or sustainability. A placement at ORE Catapult provides valuable, hands-on experience within a professional engineering environment, offering exposure to real-world offshore projects and meaningful insights into careers across the clean energy sector.
Placements take place at the ORE Catapult site in Blyth, where students from all backgrounds are welcomed and have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues contributing to cutting-edge renewable energy innovation.
