Job Description
Do you enjoy working hands on with data and making sure it supports the business? Are you motivated by creating reliable BI solutions built on Business data? Then you might be the BI Data Engineer we are looking for at Semco Maritime.
As BI Data Engineer within IT, you will be part of our Digital and IT organization and work closely with colleagues across the world. You will help ensure that our BI solutions are built on well structured, consistent, and trusted data.

This is a practical and operational role where you will work directly with data models, datasets, and Power BI solutions used in everyday reporting and decision making. You will collaborate closely with data owners and business stakeholders to turn requirements into usable BI solutions and continuously improve data quality and reporting.
Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront - views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 5-10 days per year.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BI datasets and data models with a strong focus on data quality
- Build and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards
- Work with data transformation and validation processes
- Ensure consistency across systems
- Support documentation efforts and monitor data quality
- Contribute to improving BI and data standards and ways of working
Your Profile & Qualifications
We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with both data and people, and who brings a solid understanding of data governance, data quality principles and are able to deliver practical, real-world solutions. To succeed in this position, we imaging that you have:
- Experience with BI, data modelling, and Power BI
- Relevant educational background or equivalent experience
