Job Description

The Digital Product Intern will support the Digital Product Manager in evolving enterprise digital products that enable Signal Energy's core business processes, with emphasis on client-facing areas such as Business Development and Warranty Management. The intern will assist with gathering business requirements, documenting processes, maintaining product backlogs, and supporting delivery and adoption activities across the product lifecycle. This role is ideal for a student interested in digital product management, business systems, and how technology supports EPC and renewable energy operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Digital Product Manager in documenting business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for digital product features.
  • Help maintain product backlogs and roadmaps by organizing requests, clarifying details, and preparing items for review and prioritization.
  • Support stakeholder meetings by scheduling sessions, preparing materials, capturing notes, and tracking action items.
  • Conduct basic process mapping and documentation of current and future-state workflows for core EPC and client-facing processes.
  • Help gather and analyze feedback from users to identify pain points, enhancement ideas, and adoption challenges.
  • Assist with basic data review and reporting (e.g., usage metrics, simple dashboards, defect logs) to support product decision-making.
  • Support change management activities, including drafting communications, quick reference guides, and simple training materials.
  • Help coordinate user acceptance testing by organizing test cases, tracking defects, and summarizing results.
  • Collaborate with Digital Technologies peers to ensure documentation, tickets, and product records are accurate and up to date.

Skills / Experience

  • Strong interest in digital product management, business analysis, or enterprise systems.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document processes and requirements.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Jira/Azure DevOps or similar) is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with curiosity about how systems, data, and processes connect end to end.

Preferred Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Coursework or prior experience related to product management, business analysis, data/analytics, or IT is preferred.
  • Interest in the renewable energy, construction, or EPC industry is a plus.
