Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Development Manager to spearhead sales growth for our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and turnkey solar + storage solutions throughout (North America). This role will be pivotal in developing a robust customer pipeline, securing key commercial opportunities, and positioning CSPowerTech as a trusted partner in the rapidly evolving distributed energy market.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping our sales strategy, cultivating strong customer relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth across commercial, industrial, and community energy sectors. This position reports directly to the National Sales Manager and is best suited for an individual who is proactive, confident in solution-based selling, and possesses a solid background in renewable energy and storage project sales.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and business development initiatives for C&I BESS and turnkey solar + storage solutions across North America.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities by leveraging industry relationships and market insights.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, partners, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, developers, and consultants.
  • Lead customer negotiations and facilitate the development of commercial agreements in collaboration with legal, technical, and commercial teams.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and pricing strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasting to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of market trends, customer needs, and policy drivers influencing C&I PV & Storage.
  • Represent the company at industry events, customer visits, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects and foster long-term relationships.
  • Travel across North America as required (approximately 30-40% of the time).
  • Support the establishment of a broader team, encompassing sales, project management, and operations & maintenance (O&M) functions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or project development within the renewable energy, solar, BESS, EPC, or electrical infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling technical or turnkey solutions to commercial and industrial customer segments.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and negotiating commercial agreements effectively.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and ROI/investment analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment while meeting revenue targets.
