Job Description
Are you passionate about workforce planning and optimization? As a Resource Allocation Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient manpower deployment across projects. You'll be responsible for publishing manpower set-ups in the GWS resource planning system on time while ensuring optimal technician utilization at a group level. Balancing operational and tactical planning with company economics, skills, and competencies, you'll help maximize efficiency and performance. Additionally, you'll maintain the right mix of GWS technicians and union employees while identifying upskilling opportunities to enhance workforce capabilities.
The Resource Allocation Manager optimizes workforce efficiency by managing technician bookings and selecting project teams based on skills, availability, and GWS needs. This role requires strong planning, data analytics, and financial, compliance, and project management expertise to ensure seamless execution and optimal resource utilization
Responsibilities
- Selecting technicians to projects based on their skills, competences, experience, potential development and fill out the bookings in planning system
- Identifying recruitment and subcontractor needs
- Liaising with Recruiters on presented candidates
- Liaising with Technician Relation Manager on development opportunities for internal technicians on projects
- Understand GWS Role Map and actively use GWS Qualification Matrix
- Participating in project lessons-learned in order to identify improvements for future projects
- Keeping close cooperation with key stakeholders like Technician Relation Managers as well as with other Resource Allocation Managers to ensure best possible planning and utilization level
- Providing regular feedback to the Operations Director on inefficiencies and suggesting improvements
- Suggesting potential solutions for identified technicians availability on group level
