Job Description
Responsible for creating, documenting, and maintaining clear, accurate, and user-friendly procedures, process documentation, and project-related documentation for a large PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) project within the Digital Thread Program.
This role supports operational consistency, compliance, and knowledge sharing across the organization by translating workflows, technical inputs, and project deliverables into structured documentation for multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and maintain procedures and process documentation.
- Document PLM program deliverables, including project processes, ways of working, and roles/responsibilities.
- Gather and validate information from subject matter experts (SMEs), business owners, and project teams.
- Translate complex workflows and system-related information into clear, structured documentation.
- Create and maintain process maps, flowcharts, and diagrams.
- Ensure documentation is consistent, easy to follow, and aligned with internal standards and templates.
- Review and update documentation based on project changes, process improvements, and new releases.
- Maintain documentation repositories and version control for both operational and project documentation.
- Support compliance and audit requirements through accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Identify gaps in documentation and proactively recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain documentation templates and formatting guidelines.
Our requirements
Competencies (e.g. technical skills):
- Experience documenting system-related processes and workflows (e.g., PLM, ERP, MES, CRM).
- Ability to understand and document end-to-end business processes and system touchpoints.
- Familiarity with PLM concepts (BOM, change management, part lifecycle, document control, approvals, etc.).
- Experience in process mapping and diagram tools (Visio, Miro, etc.).
- Knowledge of documentation lifecycle management (versioning, reviews, approvals).
- Comfortable working with technical teams (IT, solution architects, engineering, system integrators) and translating inputs into clear documentation.
- Ability to structure documentation for different audiences (business users, key users, admins).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Strong interviewing and facilitation skills (able to extract information from SMEs).
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, structured documentation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
- Professional communication and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
Educational Qualification Required:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Business or a related field.
Relevant Experience Required:
