Job Description

The PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Trainer is responsible for driving effective adoption and consistent usage of the PLM system across the organization. This role owns the maintenance and delivery of existing PLM trainings and develops new training materials aligned with the ongoing PLM implementation program within the Digital Thread Program.

The PLM Trainer ensures that employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to use PLM in line with defined processes and best practices. Acting as a bridge between the PLM Core Team and end users, the role supports change management efforts and contributes to the overall success of the PLM transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led and self-guided PLM training for various user groups.
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing PLM training materials (presentations, guides, e-learning modules, exercises, videos, etc.).
  • Develop new training content aligned with system updates, new modules, and evolving processes within the PLM implementation project.
  • Ensure training materials reflect the latest system configuration and business processes.
  • Create structured training paths by role and responsibility.
  • Collaborate closely with the PLM Core Team to understand upcoming changes and system releases.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) preparation from a training perspective.
  • Contribute to change management activities related to PLM rollout phases.
  • Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to improve content and delivery methods.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and propose additional training initiatives.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and user adoption.

Our requirements

Competencies (e.g. technical skills):

  • Experience with PLM systems.
  • Strong understanding of business processes within product lifecycle management.
  • Experience in training delivery (classroom, virtual, workshops).
  • Ability to translate complex systems and process information into simple, structured learning content.
  • Familiarity with e-learning tools and content creation platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.
