Your mission
- Develop and execute Schletter's sales and marketing strategy in the solar PV mounting structure market, with a strong focus on the rooftop segment.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers such as wholesalers, distributors, and EPC companies
- Manage and expand the sales team to grow market share in South Africa and support entry into new international markets.
- Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and develop strategies for prospective customers.
- Conduct direct sales activities including customer visits, presentations, trade shows, and key account management.
- Negotiate contracts, manage pricing strategies, and maintain customer and market information in the CRM system.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as supply chain, engineering, and product development to align solutions with market needs.
Your profile
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant business or commerce field (e.g., BCom, MBA).
- Strong technical understanding of relevant engineering concepts (mechanical, structural, steel/aluminium manufacturing).
- Minimum 10 years of technical B2B sales experience in a similar environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple customer projects simultaneously.
- Experience in channel management and international trade.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel) and CRM/ERP systems.
- Willingness to travel frequently nationally and internationally.
- Self-motivated, able to work remotely, and comfortable in a global corporate environment.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (additional languages are beneficial).
