We are currently seeking several positions to join our Solar Team in Albany, New York; The Project Manager will be a leader and coach in functional areas of quality and efficiency. This position leads, motivates, and oversees projects by analyzing and implementing business processes to ensure efficiency, maximize production and happy customers.

Responsibilities include

The Project Manager provides oversight and coordination of the pre-design and construction process through to the end - arriving at, presenting and managing best practices to meet the goals of our installations, tracking and ensuring proper costs and timely delivery at construction close-out.

  • Provides direction and coordination of all field activities; including scheduling, materials ordering and troubleshooting with field team and operations/sales teams.
  • Communicates regularly with clients on project status and providing updates on any changes to the timeline or plan.
  • Interfaces with other project team members and supply chain to facilitate project execution strategy and objectives including schedule updates, changes, and other impacts such as cost, budget, and timing.
  • Reviews efficiencies of field teams and manages field team leaders to maintain great customer communications and maximize efficiency.
  • Presents and suggests methods to management to improve process surrounding the sales, installation, and post delivery process to improve budget, timing, delivery and customer happiness.
  • Implement and track processes and report to team management in a transparent and supportive manner.
  • Performs quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected and communicates to internal management team.
  • Reviews and approves plans for sites and final BOM for order from our suppliers with engineer's involvement as necessary.
  • Assist and negotiate to maintain or improve budget and delivery reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of project management experience, within industry or similar preferred
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with customers, colleagues and/or suppliers
  • Ability to act as a flexible and innovative team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Demonstrate management of costs and teams schedules
