About the role

As a Solar Project Engineer, you will be at the heart of delivering high-quality, utility-scale solar projects - from early development through construction. You will combine technical expertise with collaboration, helping shape smart, efficient, and future-ready energy solutions. This role is perfect if you enjoy both detail and big-picture thinking and want to work in a diverse team cross different market.

What you will do

You will work across teams and project phases to ensure strong technical delivery:

  • Collaborate closely with technical, procurement, and construction teams
  • Support projects approaching Ready-to-Build (RTB), including design packages and RfPs
  • Review EPC bids and contribute to contracting strategies
  • Participate in EPC and O&M contract discussions (technical scope, guarantees, warranties)
  • Lead or support technical due diligence for new projects and acquisitions
  • Ensure designs meet regulations, permits, grid requirements, and best practices
  • Provide key inputs (yield, CAPEX, OPEX, performance) to project and transaction teams
  • Develop and optimize layouts and simulations using PVsyst and design tools
  • Perform LCOE analyses to guide cost-efficient design decisions
  • Conduct or support site visits across development and construction phases
  • Stay up to date with evolving PV technologies and industry standards
  • Maintain clear, structured, and traceable technical documentation
  • Contribute to hybrid projects (e.g., solar + storage or wind)

Qualifications

You are a technically skilled engineer with previous experience from PV design and delivery with a collaborative mindset and curiosity to keep learning.

We believe you have:

  • A master's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in utility-scale PV design and delivery
  • Strong skills in PVsyst and AutoCAD or PVcase
  • Solid understanding of solar plant design, performance, and optimization
  • Experience working across project phases or with EPC processes is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while staying connected with your team
  • Comfortable in international and cross-functional environments
  • Fluent in English is a must (written and spoken)
