Job Description

This role combines responsibilities as an OT System Specialist and a SCADA Systems Integration Specialist to ensure effective management and support of real-time application and data landscapes within the company. A core component of this role is the essential knowledge of Bazefield tools.

Key Responsibilities

OT System Management

  • Understanding and supporting the existing OT landscape of applications.
  • Integrating new data sources into existing application landscapes.
  • Monitoring and accessing 3rd party SQL Databases.
  • Conducting incident and problem management aligned with ITIL4 principles.

SCADA Systems Integration

  • Implementing technical solutions in collaboration with multi-national teams.
  • Realizing interfaces for data connection of decentralized energy production plants.
  • Integrating new energy-producing plants into 2nd level SCADA systems.
  • Continual improvement of data processing through optimization and automation.

Support and Customer Engagement

  • Providing 3rd level support for existing and future applications.
  • Acting as a main contact for Active Directory Migration project
  • Supporting knowledge transfer to 1st Level Support teams.

Your Profile

  • University degree in computer science/information systems or business informatics with a focus on automation technology.
  • At least 5 years experience in real-time data processing, preferably in process industry or utilities.
  • Extensive experience with SCADA systems, real time data acquisition, and Alarm & Event handling.
  • Knowledgeable in industrial communication protocols like OPC-DA, OPC-UA, IEC60870-5-104, Modbus, etc.
  • Critical knowledge and skills in Bazefield
  • Awareness of relational database systems such as MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Self-sufficient and able to take ownership and drive issues to resolution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-service orientation.
  • Excellent organisational and people management skills.
  • Effective communication skills: Fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and with multinational teams.
