Job Description
The Project Manager shall be the person responsible for the execution of the project after Financial Close or Ready to build" until COD and agreed remaining deliverables. The Project Manager shall ensure that the project is delivered according to time and within budget.
The Project Manager will play a part in all stages of the project lifecycle supporting relevant teams however will start to take ownership once the project moves into realisation phase. Reporting to the Head of Construction, this role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a relentless focus on safety and risk management to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Realisation Phase
The Project Manager (PM) will start to play a key role at the Realization phase of a project to actively participate in negotiations with contractors and important stakeholders. The PM will also lead and draft key construction capex budgets as well as schedules and risks for the dedicated project.
- Responsible for creating and updating the Main Time Schedule, under the supervision of the Realization Project Manager.
- Responsible for budgeting the construction CAPEX of the project, including contingency depending on the Project risks, under the supervision of the Realization Project Manager.
- To ensure that the interfaces between contracts are comprehensive and covering the different responsibilities or identifying the needed resources to ensure this being the case.
- The PM should be involved in preparing the Project risks to have the possibility to amend the Capex with its related extra costs due to the risks, under the supervision of the Realization Project Manager.
- Prepare the PEP from construction point of view, including the Quality Plan (and the inspection plan, as part of it)
- Propose the organization needed to manage the project.
- Support or if assigned by Procurement Department, be responsible for the negotiations with the different main contracts of the areas assigned to this role (in collaboration and supervision with the Procurement leads)
- Planning ahead and mitigating the risks before the construction starts.

Construction Phase
During the Construction phase, the PM is the overall responsible person for the project in terms of health and safety, budget, time schedule and quality, towards OX2 and project stakeholders.
Assure that the construction is performed as per internal policies, guidelines, and processes and as per external requirements such as regulations and guidelines in terms of Health and safety, the environment, budget, time schedule and quality in the role as PM. As the owner of the project after FC, the PM shall make sure that the deliverables from Realization phase are according to the Hand-Over process and the investment decision.
- Overall responsibility to secure that high HSEQ standards are implemented and followed in the project according to the law, Contract requirements and OX2 procedure and policies.
- Managing the Project team to successfully deliver the project deliverables and to follow up the progress of the construction.
- Managing the internal stakeholders in OX2 with regular meetings and actions.
- Manage the different external stakeholders of the project including authorities, landowners, and local stakeholders.
- Report variations from the agreed scope, timeline, budget, forecast and other risks to the HOCC/Sponsor.
- Contracts representative for the project.
- Populating the Risk register for Construction.
- Reporting variations from the agreed scope to the HOC/Sponsor according to the mandate as per OX2 guidelines and authorization.
Close Out of Project
The PM will be key to ensuring the successful delivery of the project from construction to operational status and ensuring a smooth transition across to future management.
- Remain responsible for tracking project capex, schedule and progress up to Final acceptance
- Liaise with defined asset management team to ensure a smooth handover from construction to management.
- Monitor and address open issues.
- Monitor and address potential warranty claims towards OX2.
- Close out the project including financials.
Qualifications and Experience

10 years of experience working within the EPC Construction environment, with a background in Managing Large Utility scale Wind, Solar and BESS projects, delivering end to end on time and budget.
- Desirable university degree within engineering or similar
- Experience in managing complex projects, contractors, teams, and employees both onsite and offsite.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and problem solve effectively when the need arises
- Prior experience negotiating large commercial contractor contracts, analysing key requirements and identifying relevant risks
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners by conveying messages in a trustful and professional manner
- Excellent analytical and decision making skills, capability to drive and find the optimal technical and economical solution for the project.
- High level of resilience and motivation with strong written, verbal communication and time-management skills
- Proficiency with the MS Office package
- Possession of a current Drivers license and full working rights in Australia
