We are on the hunt for a bright, innovative, creative, customer first people person to join us as a Salesforce Senior Applications Developer.
About the Role
The purpose of the Senior Salesforce Application Developer is to be responsible for developing and supporting application software for specific business solutions where commercially developed products are either not available or are not fit for purpose, including taking ownership of specific solutions. This role will have accountability for the design, delivery and support of the technology within their remit and support the technology strategy.
- Providing functional and technical expertise to develop technical design specifications for Salesforce (And ideally for related components - Cloudsense, NewVoiceMedia)
- Developing applications to agreed standards
- Maintaining detailed system documentation to ensure the maintainability/supportability of software applications
- Working in an agile team delivering value in a close relationship with our colleagues
- CI/CD - Maintaining and continuously improving software standards, tool definition and practices
- Maintaining a strong understanding of software control processes including version control, change management, release management, problem management and testing
- Developing software releases and accompanying release instructions;
- Ensuring adherence to the change control methodology and software version control procedures
About You and Your Experience
- Extensive Salesforce CRM development experience with a desire of simplification, automation and re-usability
- Very good understanding of architectural frameworks/design principles
- Exhibit consultative approach to Salesforce configuration, development, design and architecture
- Extensive work experience in Salesforce development (Declarative, Apex Coding, Visualforce) with knowledge of Best Practices understanding on Coding Standards, Deployment, Security implementations.
- Excellent technical skills in APEX programming, Visualforce, SOQL, Lightning Framework
- Knowledge and understanding building APEX code/classes, triggers, integrations, Visualforce/ Lightning UI components, deploying AppExchange products
- Experience in design and implementation of real-time and batch integration with Salesforce and other systems using REST/Bulk APIs.
- Very good work experience on building frameworks and focus of re-usability, scalability and flexibility
- Knowledge in other full stack/web technologies are desirable
- Experience with CI/CD toolsets such as DX, Jira, GitHub/BitBucket, Splunk/Sumologic.
- Experience in delivering Salesforce capability within large transformation programs, contact centre and or hands on exposure working with websites/portals, APIs/integrations, Data-Lake platforms or concepts
- Participation in delivery of projects in a complex environment and Agile software delivery
