You will play an important role in

Reporting to the UK Development and Deployment Director and working alongside the wider development team, you will take day-to-day responsibility for progressing a portfolio of onshore wind and solar projects through the development and deployment process. As your experience and confidence grow, you will take full end-to-end ownership of projects, including leading a core project team from origination through to the start of operations, at which point projects transfer to Boralex's asset management team.

  • Managing the development of allocated onshore wind and solar projects, tracking progress against programme and budget and identifying critical path risks.
  • Coordinating internal specialists and external consultants across technical, environmental, commercial, and legal workstreams.
  • Overseeing consenting processes across most UK planning regimes, managing specialist consultants and ensuring timely, high-quality submissions.
  • Preparing and managing project budgets, risk registers and tracking expenditure across your project portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with landowners, communities, local authorities, statutory consultees, and other key third parties.
  • Supporting M&A and origination due diligence activity as required, including technical, commercial, and consenting assessment of opportunities.
  • Representing Boralex at public information events and stakeholder meetings.
  • Preparing clear and accurate project status updates for internal and external audiences.
  • Keeping abreast of UK policy, market, and regulatory developments and keeping the wider team informed.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple complex renewable energy projects.

To succeed in this position, you need

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or any other related field;
  • Minimum four years of experience in the renewable energy industry or other development industry.
  • At least two years in a project management role with direct responsibility for progressing projects through planning and consenting.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong project management skills, including programme management and budget control; proficient in MS Project, Word and Excel.
  • Good understanding of the technical, regulatory, and financial dimensions of onshore wind and solar development.
  • Clear and confident communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor your style for different audiences.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Collaborative by nature, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
  • Passionate about renewable energy and the role of the private sector in the UK's decarbonisation.
