Your mission

As a Power Systems Consultant in our Consultancy team at Tractebel, you contribute to the development of large-scale energy projects, delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions. Our team focuses on designing and optimizing energy infrastructure, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and technical excellence to support the transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

Your key responsibilities

  • You develop power system models using PSS/E, EUROSTAG, SmartFlow, PSCAD and/or Neplan for steady-state and transient stability analysis.
  • You perform steady-state and transient stability analyses.
  • You analyze the most appropriate grid connection solutions and interpret results related to power system stability, voltage control, frequency regulation, short-circuit levels, and steady-state security.
  • You provide consultancy services for power system projects in both the Romanian power system and international grids.
  • You carry out power system projects focused on network planning as well as network operation and control.

We would love to hear from people with

  • Technical background: University "Politehnica" Bucharest - Power Engineering Faculty or similar;
  • Relevant experience in power system consultancy projects;
  • Good knowledge of a software tool dedicated to power systems simulations;
  • Knowledge of specific power system dedicated software tools such as: PSS/E, Digsilent, PSCAD;
  • Dynamic modelling skills for generating units/loads/FACTS/HVDC under dedicated software tools represents an advantage;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
  • English proficiency;
  • Knowledge of French represents an advantage;
  • Good communication skills - both written and oral;
  • Ability to work efficiently in an international environment;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Problem solving skills, flexibility;
  • Willingness to make international trips for our international collaboration and international projects.
