Job Description

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day IT operations, end-user support, and infrastructure maintenance for Yinson Renewables' offices. You will be part of a high-tech hybrid IT/OT environment. This role is designed to ensure seamless business continuity across our international locations (currently: Norway, UK, Peru, Brazil and New Zealand) while supporting the IT Lead in delivering large-scale IT/OT projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for Yinson Renewables users, managing hardware/software troubleshooting (Windows, Office 365, Azure AD, Intune).
  • First-line support network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN) and assist with basic network troubleshooting and network security incidents.
  • Supporting the IT Onboarding/Offboarding process, including hardware procurement, asset tracking, and delivering IT Inductions for new hires.
  • Coordinate with the Group Global Service Desk (located in Kuala Lumpur) to ensure SLAs are met, and high-priority incidents are resolved.
  • Assist the IT Lead in deploying and maintaining IT/OT network infrastructure for international sites, including documentation and handover processes.
  • Promote best practices for IT security and data protection among employees.
  • Liaise with local and international IT vendors for hardware supply and specialized technical services.
  • Occasional international travel to remote project sites is required to support infrastructure setup and site commissioning.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as may be relevant.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an IT support or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows), and mobile devices.
  • Strong understanding of M365 services, especially SharePoint and Teams administration.
  • Good knowledge of network infrastructure- experience working with Cisco Meraki experience would be a benefit.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Fluent verbal and written English is mandatory, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Other languages would be an advantage.
  • Highly motivated; a good team player whilst being able to work independently, capable of engaging with cross-cultural teams and delivering within tight deadlines, with a flexible mindset to serve the organisation across different time zones.
  • Proactive and eager to learn new technologies.
