Join us in this role where you'll Join us in this role as WTG reliability engineer (Senior/Lead dependant on previous experience) within UK Generation - Engineering. Working across the UK, you'll develop and optimise the annual execution plan requirements across UK assets to drive continuous improvement & increase reliability of generation assets.

Reporting directly to the Head of WTG Reliability, you will develop and optimise WTG related operation and maintenance strategies to ensure we deliver our mission of being an integrated and trusted owner/operator delivering safe, reliable, and compliant green generation whilst maximizing value creation throughout the operational life of our assets.

You'll be part of Generation UK where you, together with your colleagues, will represent the Engineering function across the UK WTG Portfolio. In this role, you'll work closely with engineers, cross-functional teams, and subject matter experts, while engaging key stakeholders across Operations & Maintenance, Commercial, Operations Excellence, and Global Support teams.

You'll play an important role in

  • driving, implementing, and continuously improving Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) frameworks for WTG systems to optimise asset reliability and maximise value
  • enhancing reliability across multiple turbine platforms by identifying underperforming assets, conducting root cause analysis, and delivering effective corrective actions
  • demonstrating strong safety leadership, promoting a positive QHSE culture, and continuously improving safety and compliance standards across the portfolio
  • supporting engineering contributions to business transformation, improving operational efficiency, reliability, and revenue while maintaining best-in-class safety and compliance
  • developing and presenting business cases focused on improving performance of critical systems and bad actors to drive continuous improvement and value creation
  • maintaining key asset management processes, including the Annual Asset Management Plan (AIMP), risk registers, and improvement pipelines
  • acting as technical escalation support for site Operations and Maintenance teams.

To succeed in the role, you

  • hold a minimum HNC/NVQ in an engineering discipline and obtain or working towards a degree (or equivalent)
  • have experience with Vestas V164 (advantageous), or alternatively Vestas V90, SGRE Direct Drive, or SGRE G4 platforms within a reliability or integrity-focused role
  • bring proven experience leading engineering reliability initiatives
  • have hands-on experience with RCM and FRACAS (or other root cause analysis methodologies), including implementation of maintenance strategies in CMMS (SAP) and corrective actions
  • are confident supporting end-to-end engineering decisions to maximise asset availability while maintaining safety, integrity, and quality
  • communicate effectively and build strong, trusted relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • understand ISO standards (e.g. ISO 55001), with experience supporting audits and maintaining certification
  • ensure technical changes are managed robustly, protecting asset integrity and safety, while continuously improving change management processes
  • Thrive in collaborative environments and can effectively influence stakeholders, including JV partners, OEMs, and external authorities.
