Job Description

What you will do

The main goal of this position is to provide technical and analytical support to the electrical maintenance activities of operating renewable generation assets, related to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems of substations, power lines, wind turbines and PV Solar sites.

The role supports maintenance, inspection and corrective activities by performing technical analysis, data collection, documentation and reporting, applying established procedures and standards under the guidance of Specialists and Experts. The Electrical HV Analyst contributes to the reliable operation of assets while progressively developing technical expertise within the electrical maintenance domain.

General responsibilities

1. WORKING PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENTATION

  • Apply established operation and maintenance procedures, instructions and safety guidelines for HV/LV electrical systems.
  • Support the update of technical documentation, procedures and work instructions by providing field feedback and lessons learned.

2. ELECTRICAL FAILURE ANALYSIS SUPPORT

  • Support the analysis of electrical failures and incidents through data collection, preliminary assessment and documentation.
  • Assist in root cause analysis processes by preparing reports, timelines, technical data and evidence.
  • Escalate deviations, anomalies or complex issues to Specialists and Experts.

3. SUPPORT TO MAINTENANCE AND CORRECTIVE ACTIVITIES

  • Provide technical support to O&M site teams during maintenance activities and corrective interventions.
  • Assist in the preparation, follow-up and closure of corrective actions under defined guidance.

4. MAJOR COMPONENTS AND REPAIR SUPPORT

  • Support the assessment of major electrical components by reviewing inspection reports, repair, documentation and technical data.
  • Assist in tracking repair activities and validating documentation completeness and consistency.

5. TAKEOVER OF NEW FACILITIES AND END OF WARRANTY SUPPORT

  • Support commissioning inspections and end-of-warranty assessments by preparing checklists, collecting technical evidence and documenting findings.
  • Assist in the follow-up of corrective actions required prior to asset takeover.

6. EXTERNAL SERVICES COORDINATION SUPPORT

  • Support the supervision of outsourced maintenance and engineering activities by collecting technical information and monitoring compliance with defined requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and service documentation.

7. SYSTEMS, TOOLS AND REPORTING

  • Use corporate systems and tools to register activities, incidents, maintenance data and technical documentation.
  • Ensure data accuracy, traceability and timely reporting.

8. HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

  • Strictly apply occupational health and safety, environmental and quality policies.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures when working around energized equipment and during site activities.

What are we looking for

  1. Academic Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  1. Professional Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, maintenance or commissioning activities.
  • Exposure to electrical maintenance or troubleshooting in renewable energy assets is a plus.
  • International projects experience.
  1. Specific Knowledge:
  • Mandatory:
    • Basic knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems.
    • Understanding of electrical safety principles and procedures.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
    • European B-class driving license
    • Proficiency with MS-Office, SAP and databases development and management.
  • Relevant:
    • Electrical systems of wind turbines, substations or PV plants.
    • Basic knowledge of protection systems and electrical measurements.
    • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and technical reporting.
  1. Languages:
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish and English fluently (B2).
  • Portuguese, French or Italian are added values.
  1. Skills:
  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties in a collaborative working environment.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements at project locations to inspect equipment or collect information.
  • Ability to work around energized equipment.
