The Purpose
As part of our Global Service organization within the After Sales Engineering department, you will take a central role in developing and maintaining After Sales products related to grid compliance and grid code requirements. In this function, you will translate complex electrical and regulatory requirements into practical, customer‑focused service solutions that ensure our turbines remain compliant, grid‑stable, and high‑performing across global markets. You will work closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to create upgrades, enhancements, and documentation that support safe, compliant, and optimized turbine operation. This position reports directly to the Director After Sales Engineering.
Your Tasks
- Develop and enhance After Sales products related to grid code compliance, grid integration, and electrical behavior.
- Interpret international and regional grid codes (e.g., FRT, reactive power control, active power control) and translate them into technical product concepts.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering, controls, SCADA, product management, and service operations to define and validate requirements.
- Lead technical analyses to evaluate turbine behavior under various grid scenarios and identify necessary improvements or upgrades.
- Support global after sales teams with expertise on grid compliance upgrades, settings, documentation, and training.
- Ensure alignment with relevant standards, regulatory requirements, and country‑specific grid code rules.
- Participate in root‑cause analyses related to grid‑related events or performance deviations.
- Monitor evolving global grid code regulations and technological trends to shape future After Sales product offerings.
Your Profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Professional experience with grid codes, grid integration, power system behavior, or turbine electrical performance-preferably in wind energy or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of grid requirements such as FRT, reactive/active power control, voltage regulation, frequency response, and power quality.
- Ability to interpret regulatory documents and convert them into technical solutions or service products.
- Experience working with simulations, grid studies, or turbine performance analysis is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive, solution‑driven mindset.
- Experience in a global, cross‑functional environment.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
