We are looking for a Product Owner -Automation Electronics with a main responsibility in Automation electronics product management. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also Turku, Finland is negotiable. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Understanding customer needs: Collaborate with prospective users and customers to understand their requirements and translate them into product specifications. Ensuring we build products that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Decision Making: Use data and customer feedback to make informed decisions quickly, ensuring we stay agile and responsive.
  • Vision: Participate in refining the overall vision for the product and maintain a cohesive vision throughout the development process.
  • Roadmap Execution: Develop and manage product roadmaps, ensuring we hit key milestones and deliver on time.
  • Continuous Improvement: Take the lead and participate in developing the product management functions.
  • Project management: Manage electronics development projects from requirement collection to NPI process fulfilment.
  • Backlog Management: Manage the product backlog, prioritize tasks based on changing requirements, and ensure alignment with customer preferences.
  • Product Creation Oversight: Oversee all stages of product creation, including design and development.
  • Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
  • Communication and Reporting: Close communication and negotiation with suppliers and stakeholders regarding ongoing, upcoming, and past development initiatives. Work closely with the product team and end-users to deliver updates and status reports.

Requirements for the position

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of supplier management and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with agile practices in development

Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have

  • A suitable candidate could have Master or Bachelor's degree in Automation, Process engineering, Computer Science or similar.
  • Skills to build understanding in how customers operate our products and the customers' businesses.
  • Good communication and presentation skills for different kind of audiences.
  • Curiosity to learn new things and continuously improve way of working.
