Job Description

Role Summary

In this role, you will support the team in managing project sites and ensuring smooth project execution. You will be involved in site permitting, testing & commissioning, QA/QC activities, and the monitoring of daily housekeeping and safety compliance on site.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and be familiar with the design, installation, and testing of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
  • Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of site management (e.g., site surveys, system data collection, testing, rectification works, and project handover)
  • Supervise and monitor subcontractor work progress from pre-construction to post-construction and handover
  • Serve as the point of contact between customers, subcontractors, and the Project Manager
  • Support all site permitting works (e.g., RA, MOS, name list clearance prior to project implementation)
  • Monitor equipment requests, delivery confirmations, and ensure safe storage on site
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Support risk identification, assessment, and implementation of mitigation measures
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements
  • Facilitate site visits to ensure pre-installation requirements are fulfilled
  • Monitor and assess the quality of solar PV installations
  • Stay up to date with industry requirements and best practices related to solar PV systems and implement improvements where necessary
  • Assist the Project Manager/LEW in pre-commissioning tests and QA/QC activities
  • Support smooth project handover to the Maintenance Team and/or Customer

Requirements

  • Higher Nitec or Diploma in engineering discipline
  • Preferably with 2 years of experience in electrical systems, construction, or a related industry (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Good initiative and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Preferably possess own transport
