To strengthen our team in Drammen, at our Center for Emergency Preparedness and Circular Economy, we are now looking for skilled professionals to join our operational Service organization.

The opportunity

As HSE Manager for the Service organization, you will be part of Hitachi Energy's global and local HSE and Sustainability community, contributing to the development and deployment of strategies that promote safe working conditions, a healthy workplace, and support our customers' journey toward climate action and circularity.

The role reports directly to the Europe Service HSE Manager, with a dotted???line responsibility to the Local Service Unit Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing HSE and Sustainability activities and will ensure the successful implementation of strategic programs across the country. Provide support, coaching and advice to leadership and line managers on HSE and Sustainability matters and report on the performances. Support the business by applying in-depth HSE and Sustainability knowledge to offer solutions and advice.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead local HSE strategy in alignment with Service business goals and global requirements.
  • Drive HSE execution and compliance across the Local Service Unit.
  • Ensure safe service delivery through active involvement in projects and site presence.
  • Own HSE risk and legal compliance with strong expert leadership.
  • Learn and improve continuously by leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Build a strong HSE culture and team through capability development and clear reporting.

Your background

  • Engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) with strong HSE competence.
  • Extensive HSE experience, preferably from high???risk industries (Oil & Gas, Power or similar).
  • Proven expertise in risk management and control of high???risk activities.
  • Experience leading HSE initiatives and building a strong safety culture.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, both spoken and written.
