Job Description

The purpose of this role is to act as a technical referent for O&M solar power plants to support the resolution of relevant technical issues and identify innovative technical solutions.

Who you'll work with

The individual will join us in the operations and maintenance solar team, who will be responsible for providing technical support to the O&M team and support to BD and E&C during new plant development.

What you will do

  • Provide technical support to the O&M team and support to BD and E&C during new plant development.
  • Support site teams to improve plant performance, yield and reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major failures (inverters, cables and modules) and coordinate solutions.
  • Predictive and proactive work to detect major faults/failures and its rectification to minimise major failures, cost and downtime.
  • Innovative and collaborative work on new idea identification, analysis, evaluation and execution in the operational plant.
  • Training/guiding the site team on technical procedures for the solar plant inspections and knowledge.
  • Provide technical inputs for implementation based on changes in law or regulatory issues in the operation of PPC, capacitor banks, inverters and transformers.
  • Lead the technical activities with all support functions and discussion with the OEM and its resolution.
  • Review preventive maintenance activities and the quality of execution in operation.
  • Regular discussion with the OEM engineering team on major failures, modifications and their implementation in the field.
  • Support new ideas, pilot projects (POCs) and their implementation across plants.

What You'll Bring

  • Electrical engineer with 8-9 years of experience who understands cables and inverters.
  • Masters in Power Electronics will be a plus.
  • Experience in the analytical part of solar plant behaviours.
  • Experience in supporting the site in charge on the troubleshooting part and other technical issues from the corporate office.
  • Preferred SAP knowledge in CS and MM modules.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, SRA.
  • Be proactive, self-driven and open-minded; you love helping people connect to technology.
