What They Do
ACCURE Battery Intelligence focuses on the development of battery storage systems, particularly lithium-ion batteries used in grid-connected energy storage, electric vehicles, and fleets. The company leverages AI, machine learning, and physics-based models to analyze operational data such as voltage, current, and temperature from battery systems (source: accure.net). Their main product is an independent, predictive cloud platform for battery analytics that monitors safety, availability, efficiency, and degradation, providing actionable insights such as early warnings for thermal risks and warranty management (source: accure.net). The platform supports the entire lifecycle of batteries and claims to extend lifespan by 15-25% while achieving a SOC accuracy of 2% (source: accure.net). Target markets include operators of grid-connected battery storage systems worldwide, including energy developers and electric vehicle fleet operators (source: growjo.com).
Projects & Track Record
Notable projects by ACCURE include supporting a 5 MWh grid battery system developed by the founders in 2013, as well as the current provision of over 300 MWh of global battery storage (source: accure.net). Current large-scale projects include monitoring portfolios ranging from 100 MWh to 10 GWh, with annual capacity tests and degradation analyses being conducted (source: accure.net). Key customers and partners include Gore Street Capital, Repsol Renewables North America, and Capgemini Engineering, with the platform providing comprehensive warranty monitoring and operational insights (source: accure.net).
Recent Developments
In the past two years, ACCURE has raised 16 million USD in a Series B funding round to promote growth in Europe, America, and the Asia-Pacific region (source: zoominfo.com). The company was awarded the Energy Storage Product of the Year by Frost & Sullivan on November 27, 2024, and has received several other accolades, including the NRW Innovation Award 2023 (source: zoominfo.com). These achievements underscore the importance of battery analytics, which is increasingly recognized as a priority at the CFO level (source: northdata.com).
Working There
ACCURE offers positions in various fields, including data science, marketing, and software development, with a team of over 40 international experts in battery and cloud technology (source: growjo.com). Recruitment is primarily conducted from the headquarters in Aachen, with opportunities also available in offices across Europe and North America (source: zoominfo.com). The company culture emphasizes passion, collaboration, and pragmatism to transform complex data into simple actions (source: accure.net).

ACCURE makes battery systems safer, more reliable, and more sustainable through cloud-based analytics. Our platform helps operators of grid-scale energy storage and EV fleets understand, operate, and protect their batteries - unlocking better performance, longer lifetime, and safer operation across assets worldwide.
We are in the middle of a deliberate expansion from monitoring platform to full-stack Technical Asset Management. This role shapes what that means in product terms.
Your Role
You own the product strategy for ACCURE's platform - and you define where the boundary between platform and services lies. That means coordinating across the SaaS product, analytics capabilities, and the service delivery model that sits alongside it. You do not manage only software features; you manage the product offering in the broader sense.
What this looks like in practice
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap, in close alignment with the CEO and CPO
- Lead a small, senior cross-functional product team (currently two PMs with distinct scopes: analytics/battery domain and platform/integrations)
- Translate complex analytics and operational outcomes into scalable, customer-relevant product value - knowing when something should be a product feature versus a service workflow
- Drive structured product decisions based on customer feedback, domain signals, technical constraints, and commercial priorities - not feature volume
- Represent the product externally with customers, and internally with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering
- Identify productization opportunities from recurring service delivery patterns
Your Skills
We are not optimizing for the most experienced SaaS product leader. We are optimizing for someone who can understand the domain fast, think at the right altitude, and operate in a context that does not fit a textbook product playbook.
Non-negotiable
- Energy domain proximity: You have worked in or closely adjacent to utility-scale storage, grid operations, energy trading, or asset management. Batteries, containers, or grid-connected systems were not a foreign concept in your previous role.
- Ability to work with analytics-driven products: Your product was not pure UI; it depended on models, data pipelines, or operational data to deliver value
- Stakeholder range: You can hold a conversation with a battery engineer, a grid operator, and a commercial director in the same week without losing credibility
- Comfort with ambiguity and non-standard operating models: You will not find a clean product/services separation here and that should not bother you
Strong plus
- Exposure to B2B SaaS development cycles: You have seen how software products are built, scoped, and shipped
- Experience productizing recurring service patterns: You have turned "things we keep doing manually" into defined product capability
- 3-4 years in a strategy or management consulting context (energy focus): Altitude management, biasless synthesis, cross-domain structuring
Seniority
5+ years overall; 2+ years in a leading product role or equivalent. What matters more than years: you can hold your own with technically deep domain experts and credibly challenge priorities with leadership.
Our Offer
- Impact: Significant impact on product direction at a pivotal stage in the company's commercial model
- Work-life-balance: Trust-based, flexible working hours, 30-day vacation entitlement.
- Carnival: We love carnival. That's why we're giving you Rose Monday as an extra day of holiday. ALAAF!
- Compensation: Performance-based compensation plan (80-100k€ for this role - depending on experience level).
- Remote or office based: It's your choice - either work from our lovely office in Aachen, choose a co-working space wherever you live or work from home (somewhere in Europe).
- Company events: Two 5-day company onsites per year
- Never stop learning: Personal development plan and budget that you can actively shape.
- A job that shapes the future and turns our planet greener one battery at a time.
