Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power System Engineer to strengthen our power systems expertise. The role focuses on advanced power system analysis, grid planning, and asset management within complex, large-scale electrical networks.

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring strong expertise in one of the following areas, although having experience in both is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing dynamic and transient power system simulations for transmission grids, generation units, and large dynamic loads
  • Developing and analyzing models for power system stability, frequency response, fault behavior, and contingencies
  • Conducting studies using Matlab/Simulink, PSCAD and/or PSS®E environments
  • Contributing to asset management, including lifecycle analysis, performance assessment, and reliability improvements
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners on system studies and grid-related projects
  • Interpreting simulation results and translating them into practical engineering recommendations
  • Participating in development of solutions and products for grid stability and executing consultancy projects for customers

Requirements

  • We are seeking engineer with strong experience in power system dynamics, and with experience in grid planning and asset management.
  • Proven experience with dynamic and transient power system simulations
  • Hands-on expertise using Matlab/Simulink, PSCAD and/or PSS®E
  • Solid understanding of transmission networks, generation systems, and large dynamic loads
  • In-depth knowledge of grid asset management, including planning methodologies and lifecycle considerations
  • Experience in grid automation and power system and grid protection
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
