CLIMACT is a Belgian firm supporting organisations through the energy and climate transition. From our Brussels headquarters, we work with private companies, public authorities and other organisations across Belgium and Europe , from long-term transition scenarios through to near-term strategy and change management, combining tailor-made consulting with our own models and off-the-shelf software. We're looking for a curious, mission and data-driven Junior Consultant ready to dive into the heart of the energy and climate transition from day one.
What you'll own
You'll join project teams working with private companies and public authorities on their decarbonization journeys, quantifying footprints, modelling scenarios, designing action plans, and supporting implementation that translates into real emissions reductions.
Concretely, you will:
- Assess energy use and carbon impacts, and develop emissions reduction action plans
- Identify and simulate energy saving opportunities and decarbonization scenarios
- Research, analyse, and synthesize findings for client delivery, to international standards
- Use modern data tools and AI hands-on to accelerate analysis and sharpen client insights
- Contribute to CLIMACT's own models, data pipelines, and software in client engagements
- Support business development and proposal preparation alongside senior consultants
- Help shape how CLIMACT adopts new tools and continuously improves internal processes
What you'll bring
- A university degree with a strong interest in energy, climate, and sustainability
- A pragmatic, data-driven mindset: you prefer a working answer today over a perfect answer next month
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and modelling tools; comfortable applying AI to real work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with genuine curiosity
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, across diverse audiences
- Strong teamwork skills and a high degree of autonomy
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with excellent English
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in consulting, business development, or project management in energy/climate is a plus
- Experience with GHG emissions inventories (GHG Protocol / Bilan Carbone™) or corporate project finance is an asset
