Job Description

Signal Energy is a full service design/​build contractor providing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for utility-scale solar energy projects across North America.​ Every action we take, every decision we make, is guided by our Core Principles and Core Purpose of harnessing creative energies.​ We have a strong pipeline of business, and the growth we are experiencing is exciting.​

We are currently searching for an experienced, ambitious EPC Scheduler/Planner 02 for Utility-Scale Solar Energy Projects.​ We are looking for future leaders with a proven track record.​

Reports to: Scheduling/Planning Manager

Works closely with: Subcontractors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Controls, and Field Construction Staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the project team with all scheduling and planning activities.
  • Develop, own, and maintain the P6 master schedule for your assigned projects.
  • Collect progress information from Subcontractors and integrate their data into the master P6 schedule.
  • Facilitate weekly schedule update meetings with the project teams.
  • Provide project analytics and KPIs for month-end project financial reporting (earned value, SPI, milestone progress, etc.).
  • Compile schedule and progress reports (Actual vs. Plan and S-curves).
  • Enforce project team compliance to maintain schedule integrity.
  • Assist in the development of bid/proposal schedules and forecasts.
  • Communicate risk and opportunities based on analysis of the schedule.

A successful candidate will have the following Skills/Experience/Abilities

  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Experience in EPC construction; utility-scale solar experience a plus.
  • Experience working with owner representatives and subcontractors involved with the project.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with co-workers, service providers, and customers.
  • Ability to think strategically and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with minimal direction.
  • Proficient in resource and cost-loaded scheduling.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in basic Microsoft 365 products (PowerBI a plus).

Education

  • College degree required. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related quantitative major a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a role as an EPC Scheduler/Planner.
  • PMP or AACEI Scheduling certifications a plus.

Additional Information

  • Hybrid work schedule, 3 days in-office + 2 days work-from-home.
  • Travel to project sites highly recommended.
