In this job, you'll lead cross-functional initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, strengthen quality and controls, and enable scalable, enterprise solutions by translating business needs into clear project plans, building strong business partnerships, and supporting the design and delivery of evolving automation and technology capabilities across the organization.

"Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual's regular responsibilities."

Responsibilities

  • Manages the activities of one or more moderate to large, short to mid-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.
  • Exercises considerable latitude and judgement in developing plans, budgets, and resources, directing activities and actions, and determining deliverable.
  • Decides appropriate methods, procedures for new projects with significant independence.
  • Engages with all levels of management and acts as a key consultant for both functional and business issues. Facilitates project execution, administration, correspondence, and flow of information/data.
  • Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project.
  • Identifies deviations in the project plan, identifies issues and leads the efforts to bring to resolution without compromising the original project goals, budget and timing; Ensures project parameters meet the agreed-upon needs and expectations.
  • Forecasts project resources, materials and contracts costs within standard tools; Analyzes policies and procedures and provides next step recommendations as needed.
  • Assesses project risk and develops contingency plans, identifies and communicates lessons learned and best practices; Follows effective project governance and reporting, in-line with SCE's project management standards in order to steward ongoing assigned projects.
  • Maintains progress reports, conducts change impact assessments, and uses project management tools; Maintains a system to measure the effectiveness of the project development process.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in regulated, matrixed, or large enterprise organizations where governance, controls, and alignment are critical
  • Agile or project management certifications such as PMP, CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP, or SAFe are preferred but not required
  • Experience with Automation Tools e.g.: UiPath / Power Automate
  • Experience running projects for Generative AI and LLM's
  • Experience managing business, operational, or process improvement initiatives, including those that may be technology enabled or automation supported, in a complex enterprise environment
  • Experience partnering with customer-facing business teams, including call center, revenue services, customer programs and demand response, compliance, or other related business functions
  • Ability to provide execution discipline, risk awareness, and delivery quality oversight while navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving enterprise needs
  • Strong execution mindset with proven ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable delivery plans, prioritize work based on value and risk, and sustain momentum in dynamic, enterprise environments

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
