Job Description

Our Business Developer role is an opportunity to help accelerate a net zero future by growing our onsite generation portfolio. You will build strong client relationships, develop new leads and shape opportunities from first conversation through to FID.

We deliver onsite generation and behind-the-meter energy solutions that help businesses cut carbon and reduce costs. As part of EDF, we bring deep expertise, strong partnerships and a commitment to making the net zero future happen faster for the UK and Ireland.

You will be a key member of our sales and business development team for our Solar C&I part of the business, where you will be responsible for developing new opportunities and progressing them through the sales cycle. You will attend events, build a strong pipeline and work closely with colleagues to improve sales performance.

You will monitor tenders, respond to customer needs and collaborate with wider EDF teams to pursue joint opportunities. You will stay close to market trends and travel to meet clients or attend industry events when required.

Location: This role is hybrid based from our Cardinal Place office in London, with travel to meet clients or attend events as required. You may also visit our #Cardiff, #Edenbridge, #Edinburgh or #Durham offices depending on business needs.

Who you are

You have experience in sales or business development with a track record of commercial success. You understand onsite energy technologies and the wider energy market. You are confident communicating with clients, analysing data and building strong relationships.

  • Degree in business, engineering, renewable energy or similar
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Knowledge of onsite energy technologies and market dynamics
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and strategic partners
