We are looking for a Senior Asset Diagnostics Expert with a main responsibility in delivering data-driven insights and improving contract performance through diagnostics and analytics. Experience in developing AI language model based tools for diagnostics can be seen as a benefit.

The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also other Wärtsilä locations are negotiable. We offer a possibility of hybrid working.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Asset Diagnostics Expert your work will include monitoring customer data, identifying deviations, and providing actionable insights to support contract performance and customer value. You'll be working as a part of a global, collaborative team with diverse expertise.

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and analyse customer operational data on a daily basis
  • Investigate deviations and identify root causes
  • Open and manage cases with customers, providing expert advice and recommendations
  • Produce and publish monthly performance and insight reports
  • Participate in contract core teams and relevant stakeholder forums
  • Contribute to the development of diagnostic handbooks, tools, and AI-driven solutions
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support optimization of contract delivery processes

The below will enable you to succeed in this role:

  • Technical knowledge of Wärtsilä four-stroke engines
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret operational or technical data
  • Experience in troubleshooting or identifying deviations in performance data
  • Understanding of service, maintenance, or contract delivery environments
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience working with digital tools, analytics platforms, or reporting systems
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders in a global environment
