Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual's regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees project financials including budgeting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Leads, coaches and develops project management staff to enhance their capabilities. Implements and improves processes for project intake, prioritization, and governance.
  • Monitors project risks, issues, and dependencies and takes corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensures effective project governance and reporting, in-line with SCE project management standards in order to steward ongoing assigned projects.
  • Monitors cash flow planning and activates appropriate critical issue project procedures.
  • Ensures key deliverable and install quantities are measured, reported and analyzed; Develops and maintains project parameters in order to meet project requirements and goals.
  • Identifies potential project risks and monitors closure and resolutions of all identified risks and opportunities; Identifies and evaluates key processes for opportunities in effectiveness, control, and efficiency, and recommends and implements improvements using the principles of standard work.
  • Provides direction and participates in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establishment of critical project objectives; Executes the scoping, due diligence, feasibility assessment and ultimately the success of projects across SCE.
  • Implements quality standards, reviews project deliverables and communicates variances accordingly; Manages project activities and resources across the organization in a manner that maximizes efficiency and minimizes conflicts.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree: An MA, MS, or MBA would be advantageous.
  • Utility Experience: Preference for candidates with experience in the electric or gas utility industry.
  • Software Development Expertise: Demonstrated familiarity with both waterfall and agile software development methodologies. You should have hands-on experience across all stages of delivery, including requirements gathering, design, development/configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Delivering data analysis & related solutions.
  • Process Improvement Skills: Proven ability to enhance business processes through software recommendations and data-driven insights. You should be adept at identifying gaps in complex workflows.
  • Energy Market Knowledge: Understanding of the California wholesale energy markets and the regulatory landscape, including government agencies like the CPUC and CAISO.
  • Strategic Planning: Track record of developing and implementing strategic business plans that significantly impact the organization. Prioritization of strategic initiatives is essential.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. You'll build consensus with stakeholders and maintain partnerships with support organizations and senior management.
  • Policy and Regulatory Acumen: Broad knowledge of company and department policies, objectives, strategies, goals, applicable governmental and regulatory laws, and accounting and budgeting practices.
  • Risk Management: Capability to integrate work across relevant areas and manage risks and safety effectively.

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
